Beginners Guide to Zero Waste

6 Steps

Step 1 : Take a note book, go around your house and list down the single use plastics that you use in your day-to-day life, which you feel you cant live with out. Example: Toothbrush, shampoo bottles, perfume bottles, razors, food packaging etc...as they cannot be recycled.

Step 2 : Research and Educate yourself of the harmful effects of the plastic and methods to downsize the use of plastic gradually through choosing best alternatives which is not only Eco-friendly but also cost-effective, durable and very good for your health.

Step 3 : Take your time and think, whether the plastic things you feel you can't live without are actually essential or not?? If you find a reason to avoid something, that clearly means you can live without it. This way you can not only go with zero-waste but also put a step forward for minimal lifestyle.

Step 4 : I recommend start a zero-waste Lifestyle step by step with small changes in the products you use daily. Example: when you buy something take your own reusable cotton tote bags instead of plastic carry bags .

Step 5 : Always carry reusable cotton bags and water bottle with you anywhere and Everywhere...

Step 6 : Replace the plastic materials with sustainable materials like glass, wood, steel and cotton. Replace plastic containers and utensils in kitchen with steel, glass, wooden and cotton clothes. Just get rid of Plastic! especially in kitchen, because hot food when combined with heat makes the food toxic to consume.
